Welcome to North Farm Cooperative’s Visual NF-One, a product ordering software system designed especially for the members of North Farm Cooperative.  


What is Visual NF-One

You can think of Visual NF-One as a tool the eases the administrative activities of your North Farm account.  You can use Visual NF-One to :

  • Place orders for products at up-to-the-minute prices.

  • View reports to analyze and optimize your order.

  • Print orders at the member level, so members can review their orders and estimated costs prior to delivery.

  • Compare orders to actual deliveries received.

  • Reconcile deliveries with products ordered.

  • Print individual member invoices.

  • Maintain and report on the activity of your members in terms of purchasing volume and prior purchase detail.
System Requirements

Visual NF-One will run on most IBM compatible computers. Following are system requirements for Visual NF-One:

  • Pentium processor with 32MB RAM, running Windows 95, 98 or NT 4.0.
  • 20 MB of free hard disk space.  Programs and primary data files install in less than 15 MB.  History files will accumulate over time, and will require additional space.  A minimum of 20% free space on your hard drive is recommended.
  • 14.4 Kbps modem (internal or external) or better.  Faster modems will result in faster transfers with North Farm.
  • Printer, compatible with your system.

Program Installation

Visual NF-One includes an installation wizard to help guide you through the installation process.  Please follow these steps to run the installation wizard:

  • Go to the Windows Start button and click on Run.
  • If you downloaded the installation files from the North Farm website, type c:\temp\vnf1install.exe, where c:\temp is where you saved the file to.  If you received a cd-rom from North Farm, type d:\setup.exe, where d is the drive letter of your cd-rom drive.
  • Click on the OK button.
  • Following the prompts on the screen to complete the installation.

Starting Visual NF-One

Once Visual NF-One has been installed, you are ready to begin using it.  The first step is to create a shortcut on your Windows desktop.

  • Right-click on your Windows desktop.
  • Click on New and then on Shortcut.
  • Type c:\nfone\vnfone.exe, where c:\nfone is where you installed Visual NF-One.
  • Click on Next.
  • Type Visual NF-One and click on Finish.

You should now have a shortcut on your desktop that will start Visual NF-One when you double-click on it.  Go ahead and double-click on the Visual NF-One shortcut.

If this is your first time using Visual NF-One, you need to create a new User ID.

  • Type in what you want for a User ID and press the Enter key.
  • For User Name, type in your first and last name and press the Enter key.
  • Type in what you want for a Password and press the Enter key.
  • You will be prompted to re-enter the password.  Type your password again and press the Enter key.
