Take the hassle out of holiday shopping by ordering holiday food and gifts from North Farm. Wonderful holiday treats will be delivered along with your regular order through November and December. Our buyers have made a special effort this year to bring on just the right natural products our members want—and in the right quantity.

Gifts To Enhance The Mind, Body & Spirit
As the holidays approach, you may be looking for natural gifts to fill everyone’s stockings. North Farm has brought on over 40 natural products just for the season and many more items suitable for gift-giving are available year ‘round.

From delicious Lindt Chocolates to soothing Sumeru Bath and Body Oils, Sun Dog Natural Body Care and Sage Spirit Dream Pillows, we’ve got something for everyone. Many come with discounts available in both November and December.

For a lasting, extra-impressive gift, choose the solid maple chopping block from Michigan Maple Block Company which we offer along with twelve 8-oz blocks of North Farm cheese. It will be well-used and enjoyed this holiday season and for many years to come. For a simple, inexpensive gift a block or two or North Farm cheese and a box or two of crackers would be perfect.

Healthy Foods For
Holiday Meals

Let North Farm also make shopping for healthy holiday cooking and baking supplies easy.
The centerpiece of most holiday meals is the turkey or ham and we are very pleased to carry two sizes each of organic turkeys and hams from Valley’s Family of Farms. Our “Tofurky” and two “Unturkeys” will please both the vegetarians and nonvegetarians at your table.

Include Knudsen Cranberry Sauce and Olives from Santa Barbara to add the extra touch that makes your friends and family feel really special.

Find everything you need for holiday baking in Dairy & Refrigerated Foods, Baking Mixes, Baking Supplies, Nuts and Seeds, Oils, Spices and Sweetners. No time to bake? We carry delicious items in our Frozen Baked Goods, Frozen Desserts and Cookies and Bread categories.

Please see the full color Holiday Guide for information on items specifically for the holidays. For a complete list of holiday items, refer to page 108. And browse through the rest of the Price List for even more inspiration on what to cook and what to give.

North Farm Board News
Elections were held for new officer positions. The new officers selected for the 2001-2002 Board Calendar Year include:

• Wendell Nekoranec, President
• Mark Thomas, Vice President
• Seth Nowak, Treasurer
• Tom Nesler, Secretary
• Muhammad Kharbush, Parliamentarian

Also, the Board raised the rate for board officer compensation. This increase is covered in the current budget.

RESIGNATIONS & BOARD ELECTIONS
Alan Cina, Midwest Chapter Representative, resigned effective September 17, 2001. Al Koss, Big West Chapter Representative resigned, effective August 28, 2001.

A Call for Candidates will be mailed out to the entire membership, and a special election will be held. The goal is to have new representatives in place before the December 1 Board meeting.
Those members interested in running to fill these terms may e-mail Dottie (dottie@northfarm.com) or go to www.northfarm.com/candidate.htm and complete the form found there.

Regional Meetings Postponed
Regional Meetings have been postponed until after the first of the year due to the recent terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington D.C. Our sympathy goes out to all the victims’ families. We believe it is best to postpone travel until we can assure the safety of our members and employees who would be traveling to these regional meetings.

Mark Your Calendars:
June 1, 2002

We’ve set the date for next year’s General Membership Meeting and Natural Products Show: Saturday, June 1 in Madison, WI. Plans are under way for special workshops, speakers and events. We’ll keep you posted with more details as the event draws near.

Look to Our Web Site For Help With Out-Of-Stocks
While North Farm recovers our financial footing, we have a suggestion for dealing with lingering out-of-stocks. Check our Web site for On Hand Quantity; if we have only a few items in stock you may want to choose another more plentiful product from our catalog. The Incoming Shipments field tells you the anticipated date of arrival and quantity for new shipments. Products scheduled to arrive less than one week before your delivery date should are not likely to be received in time for your order to be picked.
HOW TO CHECK FOR INVENTORY

NEW TRIM CHEESE
The Cheddar Cheese (#995) shown in the example is one of our newest products from Organic Valley and offers an exceptional value. Trim Ends are the uneven pieces trimmed off to form the perfect blocks usually seen in retail cheese displays. It is prime quality cheese, but the packaging is less attractive. At a savings of over 20%, we believe this is the sort of value you want us to find for you.
