North Farm Improves Returns Policy
We are seeing an increase in the number of returns and requests for credit and
also varying interpretations of our policy. An improved credit and returns
policy means better service for you because returns impact our inventory and
create out-of-stock problems. Additional handling of returns also adds
costs to North Farm which get passed on to our customers with a price increase.
We
need your help to keep costs down in the following ways:
- We
need your help to prevent errors.
- Many
returns occur due to pack size changes which affect the amount ordered vs.
received. Please verify pack sizes using a current Price List or
the Web site.
- Case-only
products cannot be returned unless the full case is intact.
We will not issue credit
if one or more items are removed from a case.
- We
need your help to correct and research errors.
- Please
do not remove the product picking label. Keep it with the returned
product so we can research the error.
- Please
do not open the case or product to be returned. We need it in its
original package.
- Please
do not write on the cases or product to be returned. Tape a note to
the box if necessary. We will not issue credit for defaced cases or
product.
- Check
in all refrigerated and frozen product and arrange for credit with your
driver. Please do not delay the driver by checking in other items.
Credit and return for all dry products should be handled after delivery.
- Contact
North Farm within 30 days of delivery for credit and return of products
other than frozen and refrigerated. We will not issue credit
after 30 days.
- Products
can be arranged for pick up; however, product delivered and not billed for
will be billed to your account if pickup is not made within 90 days.
- Please
make sure your credit request is complete, including invoice
